چکیده
This study aimed to screen phytase-producing basidiomycetes by submerged cultivation (SmC) with particulate agro-industrial byproducts and evaluate the enzyme's thermal pH stability. Five among eight fungal species produced high phytase activity (> 300 U mL-1) after seven days in SmC. Ganoderma sp., best producer (1130 mL-1), was grown a liquid medium (coffee husks, citric pulp, sugarcane bagasse, soybean hulls). Soybean hulls increased (16%) productivity (2.3-fold). The residual determined 120 min incubation different (pH 3, 5, 7, 9) temperatures (30, 50, 70 oC). Phytase remained stable at ranging from 3 9, 100% retention 7. Furthermore, retained more than 60% when incubated for 30 oC oC. Our findings support future studies using sp. production potential use animal feed industry.

Kojic Acid Production from Agro-Industrial By-Products Using Fungi
A total of 278 different isolates of filamentous fungi were screened using synthetic medium for respective ability to produce kojic acid. Nineteen, six, and five isolates proved to be low, moderate, and high kojic acid producers, respectively. Levels of kojic acid produced were generally increased when shaking cultivation was used rather than those obtained using static cultivation. A trial for...
متن کاملProduction of ligninolytic enzymes by cultures of white rot fungi.
Some Basidiomycota were chosen for studies of key ligninases synthesis (25°C, 30 days) in modified medium (shaken or not cultures) with added wheat straw. Liquid Czapek medium with straw yielded a higher amount of laccase than peroxidase, ground straw induced enzyme worse than chopped straw. With peroxidase the reverse dependencies were observed. Laccase of Lentinus edodes synthesized two enzym...

متن کاملMechanisms of degradation by white rot fungi.
White rot fungi use a variety of mechanisms to accomplish the complete degradation of lignin and a wide variety of environmental pollutants. Both oxidative and reductive reactions are required for the metabolism of both lignin and environmental pollutants. The fungi secrete a family of peroxidases to catalyze both direct and indirect oxidation of chemicals. The peroxidases can also catalyze red...
متن کاملSynthetic dye decolourization by white rot fungi.
Synthetic dyes are integral part of many industrial products. The effluents generated from textile dyeing units create major environmental problems and issues both in public and textile units. Industrial wastewater treatment is one of the major problems in the present scenario. Though, the physical and chemical methods offer some solutions to the problems, it is not affordable by the unit opera...
